Drunk housewives are referred to as Kitchen Drinkers.
They especially drink alone at times when family is not home, so family members are unaware in most cases. One out of ten mothers in their 30s is drinking alone at home, whereas female alcoholics in their 40s and 50s have increased 25 percent over the past five years.
The illness for these female alcoholics stems from emotional wounds of the past and negative human relationships. And it is usually starts due to loneliness resulting from alienation from family members. Drinking that started from complicated family relationships now leads to bigger conflicts within the family. These housewives are now on the brink of divorce leading to yet another emotional wound.
However, these mothers are determined to be courageous to protect their families and children. What new challenge will they courageously overcome to protect their families?

술 취한 주부들을 일컫는 키친드링커 (kitchen drinker). 특히 가족이 없는 시간대에 혼자 술을 마셔 가족이 모르는 경우가 대부분이다. 30대 엄마 10명 중 1명은 집에서 홀로 술을 마시고, 4,50대 여성 알코올중독 환자는 5년 사이 25%나 증가했다.
주부 알코올중독은 단순히 ‘술’이 문제가 아닌 과거의 상처나 관계에서 오는 마음의 병, 그리고 가족에게서 소외된 ‘외로움’ 때문에 시작된 경우가 대부분이다.
가족과의 관계에서 시작된 알코올 중독은 또 다른 가족과의 불화를 만들고, 주부들은 결국 이혼 위기에 처하거나 또 다른 상처를 갖게 된다.
