They are never far from civilization but are indifferent to materialist cultures. Being a part of nature, they can run for days in the valley without tiring. They are the Rarámuri, the legend.
Surprisingly, living away from civilization hasn’t always been the case for the Rarámuri. Around two hundred years ago, the Rarámuri used to work in the silver mines of the Europeans. However, they grew skeptical about modern civilization having experienced the imprisoning of silver miners and retreated into the mountains.
However, as the sierra regions have been commercialized recently, people’s lives have started to change. When the railway was built, some of the Rarámuri have descended from the mountains to sell goods to tourists. The lives of the Rarámuri are no longer sufficient alone with nature and rainfall.
When his children return to civilization that once imprisoned the lives of the Rarámuri, will they be able to live happily?

문명세계와 담 하나를 두고 살고 있으면서도, 물질에 연연하지 않고, 자연의 일부로 살아간다는 부족, 몇 날 며칠동안 계곡을 뛰고 뛰어도 지치지 않는다는 전설의 부족이 있다. 라라무리가 바로 그들이다.
처음부터 이들이 문명을 거부한 것은 아니었다. 200년전 유럽인들이 산악지대에 은광을 만들면서, 라라무리들은 은광의 일꾼으로 문명세계에 들어온 경험이 있다. 그러나… 노예와도 같았던 광부의 삶은 그들에게 문명에 대한 회의를 느끼게 했고
그들은 하나 둘 도시를 떠나 다시 산 속으로 들어가 작은 마을을 구성해 살기 시작한 것이다.
그런데 최근 그들이 살던 산악지대가 관광화되기 시작하면서, 그들의 삶에도 변화가 일기 시작했다. 기차역이 들어서면서, 관광객들을 대상으로 물건을 팔기 위해 일부 라라무리들이 마을로 내려오기 시작했다. 비와 자연만 있으면 행복하다던 라라무리의 삶도 조금씩 변하기 시작했다.과연 그들에게 상처를 안겨줬던 문명으로 되돌아갈 때, 그들이 생각하는 행복을 유지하고 지킬 수 있을 것인가?
